Yeah, it's against AI rules to have a previous recording contract. Everyone knows this; everyone understands this. There's one thing, though, that plays a big part in this. THIS IS NOT A RECORDING CONTRACT. It's a self released single. Big, big difference. This complies with the rules 100%. She completely deserves to have won second place. Good job, Jessica.

.....anyway when i wrote this (the FIRST time) i said..... Good Song to cover Good Voice to try it but she was going AGAINST the American Idol rules of no previous recording contracts (failed or not) this may or may not have been lifted by the American Idol Team... who know all i am saying is that if they kicked Jermaine Jones off for breaking rules (he didnt need to be on there anyway may i mention EBEN was kicked out for him) then shouldnt Jessica too? needless to say she was a favorite of theres DUH but it just doesnt seem right but her voice is still good, its still there and ready and just about as good as Rihanna's but -1 star for a few technical flaws here and there
