  • A Gem -- Perfect For Those Who Dislike Christmas Albums

I have a horror of Christmas albums -- they can be schlocky, thrown together, messes. Not this one. Tony Bennett brings the same care, joy and wistfulness to his album that he does to all his other music. These cuts are worth listening to whether there is snow on the ground or it is 80 degrees. The cuts that stand out for me are Christmas Time is Here; Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas; and O Christmas Tree, which is song so sweetly and poignantly that Tony could have recorded it with Bill Evans. (Oh, how I would love to hear Tony sing Joni Mitchell's River!) There's still fun on this album, too. If you can't aide by most Christmas albums, give this one a listen anywa.

You can't have Christmas without playing at least one of these wonderfully recorded tracks! Just play one track and you're sent back decades ago, during the one time of the year you're suppose to spend with family and friends, but most don't even take time out of their busy schedules to celebrate! Tony definetly brings the Christmas spirit to life with this amazing album. And the track with Antonia is just wonderful! It's great to hear her sing alongside her father. Great album, amazingly high replay value, wonderful for Christmas time!
