91 is when I started listening to "electronic" music. Marcus Schulz was residing at a club in Scottsdale, AZ & I used to spend hours listening to records in stores on Melrose (LA) & remember buying this EP & Moby's Go. Those were the days!

About 15 years ago, I remember having the radio on when a song came on...a song that was like nothing that I have heard before. I ran to the radio, cued up a blank tape, and pushed the red "record" button. The little wheels in the radio started turning and I stood there transfixed, overwhelmed by the maddening bass pouring from the speakers. I did not make a movement. When the song was over, i hit "rewind" and listened to it again. And again. And again. Today, I love it just as much as I did fifteen years ago. That song was Charly.

This is where electronic music started for me. Skipping school and tokin up by the river with Joe and Kevin. The sample Charlie says is based on an early eighties goverment TV commercial whereby Charlie, the badly drawn cartoon cat, informs us young Thatcherite children the formalities of safely crossing the road. Of course by the early 90's Charlie was slang for something er entirely different. Great record- the Teen Spirit of British techno. Class.

This is a landmark ep in hardcore. Not much else to say, but to the reviewer that gave it a bad review because their science teacher plays it; holy crap, a 60 year old listening to hardcore breaks!

This music is origional and it also is creative. If ur looking for something new, get this. Either get this album or get anything else by The Prodigy if you're lookin for something new
