Amazing voice and amazing remix

I love Nina Simone the old way. I love Nina Simone this new way. I love Nina Simone. No, seriously- it's different and maybe people who like how she sounds traditionally might be ruffled. And those who live on dance raves may find the old stuff ho hum, but it is very creative, and the mix translates well into a cohesive fun album. It is upbeat and pulsing, yet haunting because of the quality of her voice. I'd give it a listen with an open mind. I like it.

I neither liked nor listened to Nina Simone before I listened to this. Wow. Great stuff. Perhaps because I wasn't a fan before, I'm not influenced that way, but I have gone back and listened to some of the old version of the songs, e.g., Save Me, Turn Me On, Here Comes the Sun and the oldies are boring in comparison.

I appreciate a re-mix of Nina's songs, but most songs go on forever and after a while the music just gets annoying. I would not re-purchase this album again.
