This has been one of my favorite albums for 15+ years. I go to it when I need a pick me up.

More than anyone I've heard in the last 30 years, Griffin moves me with her voice, her spirit, her soul, and her words. She goes to the depth of my my heart, light, love and desires, sadness, suffering and pain, like she'd lived it all AND more, for a thousand years. I LOVE HER MUSIC. Sister Tiny, (KFAT, KOCN, KHIP, KPIG, & now KXNV.)

This album is a masterpiece. If you're a fan of singer/songwriter folk-country, then you can't get better than Ms. Griffin. Listen to 'Useless Desires', 'The Kite Song', 'Top of the World', and 'When It Don't Come Easy' if you need proof of how magical this album is. Or better yet, do yourself a favor and just buy the entire album, then listen to it from start to finish. The melodies are gorgeous and the word are poetry. This album captures everything that's frustrating, maddening, heartbreaking and redeeming about the human experience. Not just to be listened to, this album is to be felt, and deeply.

Beautiful and truthful lyrics matched by a magical voice.

This album is packed with great songs. Top of the World, Florida, Mother of God, Cold as it gets, Standing are some of my favorites.

Wonderfully written music. Beautifully performed. No better writer of songs today. Also check out Moon Song.

Found this through stumbling upon Cold as it Gets on Pandora. After hearing it the second time I wondered why I hadn't bought it yet. So I bought the whole album and it was worth every penny. Great songs, wonderfoul voice, beautiful music.
