  • Great "Warm up"

This is a great vocal "warm up" tool. This isn't a vocal lesson of any sort, like some may have thought, but simply a vocal warm up. Loved it!!

I have taken voice lessons before and this cd does not work well for me. There needs to be more vocal technique instruction in the beginning than just a 6 second example like some have. And there needs to be a que as to when to start like Ms. Branz has in the example. That's what you would expect right? I mean the scales start right in the middle of when I'm starting to take a full breath. I think Ms. Branz is a good vocal instructor, but I would prefer to see her in person. Please answer YES to let me know if this review helps anyone or if you have bought this album and understand what I am saying about this cd. Thanks :)

I am a singer/actor and I have taken vocal lessons for most of my life. This is the first CD I have bought commercially that deals with warm-ups outside of my taking vocal lessons. I have to tell you, I bought it simply because it would go on my ipod and I could take it to auditions. It's like having a warm-up coach at your fingertips. The exercises are structured in the same order that is done in vocal lessons and they are complete and straightfoward. However, like Christina says in her introduction, it shouldn't be used for someone who has never sang before. For that, she suggests going to a vocal coach. It's good that she says that simply because there are a lot of programs out there that promise for you to become the next American Idol and so forth, which is not at all plausible simply from a CD or computer program. This CD is complete and extremely helpful for the singer on the move.

I am so glad to finally see a practice tool like this to down load!! It works out great in the car and when getting ready. I do not have everyday access to a piano or keyboard so this is perfect. This is not intended to the novice singer.
  • Better than most of this type

Brava to the creator of this album for making it clear that such programs/albums are NOT a replacement for real voice lessons with a human being. This could be a worthwhile suppliment to an intermidiate voice student who knows a thing or two about vocal health and his or her own strengths and limits.
  • Great Warm Up!

Great CD. Exactly what I was looking for. Nice FULL warmup for those who have experience with thier voices and have a range more than one octave. New singers could hurt themselves if they do not heed her warning in the beginning. I use it all the time. Thanks.

This is a Wonderful tool, its straight forward and to the point good for male and female singers. Eliminates the need for a piano to warm up and is great to use as a tool if you do not have a keyboard or don't know how to play the keyboard, I am an R&B singer and I recommend it to anyone who needs to warm up or practice but for whaever reason does not have a keyboard and or accompanist to play for them. This is a great tool for a singer who wants some structured warm-up practice but doesn't have access to a piano or keyboard skills. I use it to warm up in the car on the way to gigs and rehearsals. There is no instruction on vocal technique, so I wouldn't recommend it for an inexperienced singer.
