  • It’s not old and it’s not new

Somewhere in a transitionary period, this album stand to give you a center of comfort but then take you somewhere new when you least expect it… It’s the moments that this album builds over a significant period of time to a roar, only measures later to grasp you back to pulse that is both kind and protective…that makes this piece feel more new than most in this onslaught of edm repetition. It’s the moments that it leans in to hug and secure you that it actually transcends.

I pre-ordered this album. I’m a huge huge lane 8 fan. I received four songs over the last few months, with the rest of the album being made available today. I’m sorry to say this but this is not what I expected from Lane eight. I should’ve waited till the entire album was out to buy it. Normally I love every single song that is on the album, but with this latest release I really enjoy about 50% of the album and the remaining 50% I can actually choose to live without. I really hope Lane eight goes back to the style that really made them as successful as they are today. It’s very important to remember what made you great and to not lose your way. Way too many vocals from not so many good performers. Some of the mainstays like Solomon Grey are awesome, but some of others are not so good.
