Everything was amazing! The storyline, the acting, the music, the messages, and it was released right on time! I didn’t know Regina King had that type of directorial skill! Bravo!

The music here is awesome and I have to to really give high praise to Leslie Odom Jr. Portraying someone on a film is one thing, but when the actor who is singing the songs of a legend, is able to do the classics of a great man justice...oh my goodness! The film is at the top of my list, and now, so is Leslie Odom Jr.

This is a fantastic movie and the music is perfect!

An amazing throwback to The Godfather of Soul

As beautiful as Mr. Odom Jr. sings it’s tonight to say he’s “better” on any track than Sam Cooke was. Sam Cooke reigns supreme. But this album is its own beauty. And Terrance Blanchard’s scores are works of genius. It finishes with an original track for the film, a slow, burning ballad that wrecks me when I play it.
