I have been a fan for probably 20 years. I used to live in Southern California and would go see him at Perqs in Huntington Beach when he'd come home for awhile. The up close and personal shows were raw and mindblowing. Everytime I put him away for a period of time I pull him out and always wonder why I don't play him more often. This album did that to me LOL!! He's raw and dead on every time. Amazing and under rated blues guitarist here in the states. What a shame.

You would have to be dead not to love Walter's cuts. His tone and intensity will rip your head off! IMHO

Walter Trout is sensational. This album is pure Trout as his best. Trout is one of the greatest guitarists of our time and may be considered one of the best ever. If you love good guitar blues, you can't go wrong with Live Trout, Vol. 1. And don't forget Live Trout Vol. 2., an essential addition to Vol. 1.
