  • Brutally honest. A perfect album.

There’s not enough hype said 3 years later about how we started this decade with this masterpiece. Loud, brash, harsh, in your face, cruel, a sonic assault on all our sheltered souls during the evils of the Covid Pandemic. I’m not blowing smoke where it doesn’t need it. The work speaks for itself. So if it takes Fiona another 8 years to create an evolved version of this monster album, so be it. We’ll be here.

Another disappointment from Fiona . So much potential! First 3 albums 5 stars the last 2 albums 1 star! She’s too concentrated and worried about being different from everyone else she forgot to put any kind of talent in the mix! I give up on waiting for good music from her!
  • Some good tracks

For Her (harmonies) & Shameika (piano) are standouts. Catchy, impactful tunes that grab the listener and don't let go. Need to sit with the album as a whole.
  • Largely unlistenable and disappointing!

What a shame after her previous album/which were masterpieces.

LOL just look at the 5 star reviews compared to the 1 star reviews. It’s a no brainer. I read one review about somebody having to detox after listening to this? You’re kidding right? I imagine you listen to garbage if you think this is bad. Fiona has been my number one. For years. And this album has been on repeat all day. Raw (but not too raw like the last album. I did enjoy it but it was a bit too raw). It’s like a mix of her first three albums. She will never not be amazing. Never not be talented. I’m so happy you’re back. I’ve been waiting for so long for this! Good job! Ignore the very small amount of bad reviews.

Have always loved this woman and her songwriting. It’s always: uniquely lyrical; bold; and innovative. Keep doing what your doing Fiona! Love love love you!

Maybe this is art but I’m not near cool enough to appreciate disjointed off key music. This might be more for the slam poetry and experimental jazz crowd.

I have usually been a fan of Fiona Apple, I’ve respected her talent- but I could not find a single song on this album that is good. What prompted her to moan into the microphone throughout the whole album? Why do people like this? There are no coherent arrangements on this album- not even done in a unique or interesting way. Horrible.
