Not even one good song on this. These guys peaked with Yield way back in 98. That was there last good album. Thank god we will always have the first 5 albums.

Forgettable, generic hookless music. And annoying, soulless, non-musical singing. Not one memorable tune on this record.

At what point does Target take this album from the life time fans.

Eddie’s offerings declining in various ways. You did let it go, we’ll just let this float away. Could have been where you swallowed your pencil… 🙄 Really?? Are vinyl records recyclable? This just took a gigaton of vinyl records on the environment, if not. Green disease cash for carbon offset? Rich = eco friendly top of the communist caste <- oh look I put two seemingly unfitting political glossary words together whoa man, deep! Deep!

Guys, Eddie is nearly 60. He’s not going to make music like he did in his 20’s. Appreciate Pearl Jam, they’re one of the best to do it
  • Best PJ album since the 90s

GIGATON is easily the best PJ album since Yield in ‘98, and in many ways, it’s very reminiscent. It’s high-energy but eclectic, very melodic but full of satisfying meanderings. Maybe some of the general public was turned off by the synthy first single Dance of the Clairvoyants- personally, I love that track, fits right into the sequence while sounding very different from every other song on the album. Who Ever Said, Superblood Wolfmoon, Never Destination are some of my other faves. Every PJ album has its highlights, but this collection is better than anything the guys have done since the Clinton era.

“Lightning Bolt” is a decent album (the band’s 2013 studio album), but it definitely wasn’t great. That said, 7 years later, I approached “Gigaton” with caution and curbed expectations. Fast forward to today - “Gigaton” is PJs best album since their 2006 self-titled masterpiece, and has been, thus far, one of my favorite albums of the 2020s. Great job, PJ!

Huge fan of Pearl Jam, and I love every other album of theirs, but this one is odd. It’s odd in the sense that I enjoy the first half of the album, but the second half is really mediocre. I’ve given it two and a half years now, hoping that it would grow on me like Lightning Bolt did, but it hasn’t. From now on, I’ll just turn it off after track 6.
