Nothing like album, my head is an animal. Possibly their worst album.

One thing I like about this band is that they’re willing to try new things and venture into different genres. This album at first listen feels underwhelming considering that OMAM are one of the few good instrumental bands these days. The album has a good pop sound to it but it definitely feels like the band’s talent is being wasted on such a genre. While it took a few listens to really come around on it, I generally enjoy it. However, I hope that going forward the band returns more to their roots and focuses more on instrumentation rather than studio production.

Right before buying this album, going from song to song ,without reading any comments … I could have tell that it wasn’t going to me Of Monsters and Men material . Yea change is good but when you do it drastically like this album did .

Huge fan so finally have it a listen and my ears and heart hurt after it. Absolute trash. I don’t know who convinced them to do this but they need to be fired. So disappointed first thing in the AM :(

It’s tough because this band had created multiple albums of some of THE best original music. I can’t beehive they put out this album. Mush.

Very different, but that just means that they are still working toward improvement.

Just not the same sound. I know bands can and at times should change and evolve but this just does not sound as good as there previous albums :/

Yes it is quite different, but it is still a great album, Nanna’s voice is beautiful. And I disagree completely that this album is generic, far from it. There is nothing wrong with mixing it up here and there, rather than having to make a segment of fans feel every song is off the same album.
