The Australian version is so superior to the Broadway. I am so excited they finally released this! Ben Lewis is superb.

While some quibble about the storyline to this, the sequel to the historic Phantom of the Opera... you can’t argue that this is some of Lloyd Webber’s most beautiful musical scores. And in this, the Australian cast recording, carefully and seamlessly edited to incorporate changes made since this version premiered, it has truly become the definitive version of a cast recording for this epic.

I saw this twice in Cleveland in February 2018 and have been waiting for this rendition to be available on iTunes...bought it!!! LOVE IT!

But still the cast I’ve been waiting years to have on iTunes! The Australian Cast, is stunning!

This is the Australian version reflected from the BluRay performance. There is a difference however as Beauty Underneath has been re-recorded with an extra musical riff , a different Act 1 musical ending , and a Reprise of Beauty Underneath as Meg and the Boy move through the carnival at the end of Act 2. I saw the US tour and it was beautiful and awesomely performed. The additional augmented music of Beauty Underneath is beautifully integrated and put to great use.
