This is a good atmospheric/rock album by Lucero. It’s much better than “All a Man Should Do”, but not as good as some of their classic albums. “Among the Ghosts”, “To My Dearest Wife”, “Bottom of the Sea”, “For the Lonely Ones”, and “Loving” are all highlights. I love this band’s ability to push their music in different directions but still manage to sound like themselves. One of the best bands in America. Eager to see what they do next!

Heard them on Outlaw Country. I am VERY VERY impressed with the latest album. I had never heard of them before but they are a great sounding band.

I had the pleasure of being at the show at Red Rocks the day the album came out. You can hear the maturity all the guys have went through in the new music. So many amazing songs on this album. Their body of work over the last 20 years is amazing.

Anyone who says they CHANGED their sound with this album hadn’t heard their first 3 albums. That jazzy sound was the new Lucero I didn’t care for. This is the hard hitting, post punk sound I fell in love with like love songs and nights like these. This hits like his solo stuff with a band. I’M GLAD OLD LUCERO IS BACK!!
  • Excellent, if in different form

Layered, textured and contemplative “Ghosts” is another angle on our Lucero-themed soundtracks for life. A welcome addition to a wonderful 20 year-catalog is music. The more I listen to Ghosts, the more I appreciate the depth and sincerity. This is not the CD for bar #1, figure between bar #3 and bar #4 is about right to kick this one up on the Buick’s cassette player (with digital conversion cable). Buy the ticket, take the ride - HS Thompson. Thank you Lucero Boys! Another keeper!

These guys have a unique way of telling stories through their music that’s unmatched by other artists. Close your eyes and listen to My Dearest Wife, it feels like your right there in the field alongside the soldiers. Amazing!

This is the best album I have heard in years. It reminds me of "That Much Further West" which is my favorite album of all times. Love, love, love the entire thing and can't stop listening to it. It's perfect!
