  • Amazing Find

I came across WagakkiBand on YouTube with their collab with Amy Lee (Evanescence). I got hooked! I love the fusion of the traditional Japanese instruments and the Western instruments. Each musician is great at their craft. To hear Beni's shamisen fast playing alongside Machiya's guitar playing was awesome! WagakkiBand's music transcends the language barrier. This is several levels above Hiroshima (Japanese-American jazz group). Being a 4th generation Japanese-American, my Japanese comprehension isn't the greatest, but able to pick up words. In this day & age, we can find translations of their lyrics pretty fast. Also, watch their videos!

The band is amazing and the music is beautiful! I hope they become successful! It nice to hear other music beside American sometimes ^_^ Even though I don’t speak or understand Japanese the music is still awesome!

Stellar instrumentation and vocals, as we've come to expect, really.

I love how different melodies and voices get played into this and it feels soothing and peaceful to me. Just something about it... (a few of their songs I love) is just soothing and beautiful! I support and love this band very much and looking forward to seeing more! My favorites are Sasameyuki, Hakanakumo, Kimigainai-Machi, Doppo, & Sabakuno-Komoriuta! Those songs are so beautiful and unique in melody and vocals! The music itself is just soothing and beautiful!

Phenomenal work as usual. The only disappointment is there aren’t more songs :)) I can always listen to more Wagakki Band’s music.
