So glad to have all the b-sides remastered along with the original album! Version 2.0 really should have won a Grammy, it’s their best work. This album is timeless! “Soldier Through This” should have been released as a single with a music video to promote the remastered anniversary. I love “Deadwood” and “Afterglow” so much and are my favorite b-sides. Wish this included a remaster of “The World Is Not Enough” to really time-capsule the Version 2.0 era.

Finally, all of the besides to the European singles from this album are available in one place. For every album Garbage releases, there are usually about another entire albums worth of b-sides. It appears that they are re-releasing each album on its 20th anniversary, including the b-sides as bonus tracks. Other artists will remaster their albums every so often, improving the sound quality somewhat, but garbage is actually giving the listeners more than that. This is worth it for anybody who loves the band. Even if you have the songs from collecting the imported singles, it’s great to have all of them on one album. They did this with the first album, now with this one. I hope in 2021, they will do the same with beautiful garbage. For $11.99, a remastered edition with another album’s worth of songs is a bargain!

I bought the first 2 LP's. Of course, the first is usually the best. A bit of a "sophmore slump" with this one but after i listen to it more, I realize it's more humble and honest. Good album.

Just listening to the previews tells me that this, like many remasters, not an album that I will purchase. The rhythm and melody have been subjugated for the bring forward of the background. So sorry Shirly.

Just as with their debut album, Garbage has gone back to their masterpiece of an album 2.0 and refined and fine tuned each one of their classic songs and perfected them for listening on modern headphones, speaker systems, and earbuds. For those familiar with the music, you will find yourself surprised by new and refreshing beats of the song that stand out now that didn’t necessarily before, the clarity, and the over all general improvements to the sound. If you are not familiar with 2.0, the bands confidence and energy off their smash first album carried them into their second and helped them craft single worthy track after track. Industrial rock, trip hop, pop, and electro all blend together seamlessly across the full album and the b sides. Non single tracks “Sleep Together” and “Temptation Waits” still hold their own and benefit from the excellent remastering. “Afterglow” “Deadwood” and “Can’t Seem To Make You Mine” are all stand out b sides that some of their younger fans might have missed the first time around. Wholeheartedly recommend you listen and listen with the best speakers you can get your hands on!

I already have the album, but this did remind me to pull it back out 20 years later and dust it off. This was a gem that got me through tech school in the Air Force. I don't even know what to compare it to nowadays. Maybe Chvrches??? It has that type of vibe I guess. It's really good music, and the lead singers voice is quite therapeutic on the ears. Rock on!
