What a record by the Reverend Shawn Amos. His mix of blues, rock, gospel and soul it right on money. From Moved to Does My Life Matter, you feel the emotion of every note in every song. This man has something to say and you should listen up. I recommend this record to everyone who loves the blues and wants to keep honest music alive. Buy this record! You will not be disappointed.

He ain't a reverend and the first review -- written before a single song from the LP was available -- is obviously PR hype from the artist or his team. I call B.S.

From start to finish, The Reverend Shawn Amos Break it Down could be considered as the first true “anthem” albums in many years. The Rev is all about coming together, no matter your race, creed, religious affiliation or political view....in order to make things better, we have to understand that we are all in this mess together. The record is a one man’s soul trying to bring us all to see that we don’t have to be at each other’s throats and that we can be rational and protect those who need protecting the most. Also, you gotta have fun with music, use it to teach but to also celebrate. I’m very proud of this latest effort. The Reverend Shawn Amos is staking his claim as an important voice in these troubling times.
