Upon first hearing the latest album by British goth-rock band WOLF ALICE:VISIONS OF A LIFE;I had an out of body “dreaming”experience, whereby it was revealed to me that the band called wolf Alice was really a BAND OF WOLVES who had shapeshifted themselves into a goth -rock band .however,in the “dream,”once I found them out,my life was in deepdanger,as I awakened in a cold sweat just prior to being ripped to shreds.with eerily macabre backing vocals, that actually sound like wolves howling in a forest(a recording of actual wolves howling or......?)the bottom line,is that if goth-rock has soul, than wolf alice is its avatar.a classic second album. I found this band by accident and I’m very glad I did. Love the vocals, ethereal guitars and just cool tunes. I went back to their first album and was pleasantly surprised with that as well. Give it a listen - 👌😎

  • Amazing Follow Up

I am very pleased to say that their follow up album is not a bunch of material that could have been on the first. Instead they grew in their sound and you can tell they have been influenced by other groups and sounds. You can hear Shoe Gaze Pop, Punk, Rock, Progressive, and Indy all on the same album. I especially love how the song "Visions of a Life" reminds me of early Jane's Addiction, but not a rip off so much as an homage. This group has the potential to be around for years.
