This was the first album I purchased and loved. I became a fan a year and a half ago, and saw them live a week later. The best thing I’ve experienced. My favorite off this album and probably my favorite song by Iron Maiden is Rime of the ancient mariner. Sure it’s a thirteen minute song, but it is an absolute masterpiece. I think you owe yourself to give it a try.

Been a huge Iron Maiden fan all the way back to Killers. I my opinion, this is still their very best album. Every single song is great. Piece of Mind is a close second.

Absolutely brilliant album, Maiden at their peak performance. One heavy hitting song after another on this. Starts off fast with Aces High into 2 Minutes to Midnight. Underrated songs on this one as well, such as Flash of the Blade and Back in the Village which are both excellent songs never performed live. Powerslave is one of the greatest metal songs of the decade, if not of all time. Rime of the Ancient Mariner is epic and truly a unique song. This album is best compared to great classical movements of previous centuries.

Words cannot express how amazing this album is. Every song is a hit, even the songs which don’t get great recognition like Flash of the Blade and Back in the Village(which should be played live, may I add). My own mother loves Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and she’s more into pop/rap music. That’s when you know you did another fantastic job with an album. Up the Irons!

Decent that I can play World Of Tanks to, or Crossout, or any shooter for that matter. The rest of the album is pretty generic though.

Iron Maiden puts so much work and heart into every song. Aces High, Two Minutes to Midnight, Powerslave and of course Rime of the Ancient Mariner will blow your mind.

Love this album. Would’ve given it 5 stars but, this newly remastered version done in 2015 made the songs sound weaker. The remastered version lacks punch and the guitars no longer reach out and grab hold of the listener. Comparing it to the previous iTunes version (which is no longer available) one can hear the difference. Just cue up, if you’re lucky enough to have the previous version downloaded, any song to match the sample on the iTunes Store. Then, go back and forth between the older version and the 2015 remastered version – we are sure you will feel a little bit ripped off. The problem is not the album but whoever was in charge of remastering it. We doubt the band ever heard how it comes out over iTunes or perhaps they just believed it would come out good. If you have an older CD rip/burn that into your iTunes library because it sounds so much better than this 2015 remastered version. Perhaps consult with Mr. Bob Ludwig (George Marino has shoved off this water coil in 2002) or one of the “old school” mastering greats.
