Exciting and wonderful performer who should be re-discovered by the public. Jackie Wilson puts it all out there like others wish they could. He is vastly overlooked by the current generation and long overdue for his unique contributions to Rock.

If he's overlooked it is not by the beach music fans of the southeast. He has so many classics it would be impossible to not to include him as one of the greatest. I never saw him live, but I am a big fan, rate him above most that you mentioned, and let me say I am a big fan of all of those, but I think Jackie Wilson is one of the greatest artist ever.

I may have never physically met my grandfather but I feel as if I truly know him. Just from his music and how he puts so much into every song I feel as if I've known him all my life. I grew up listening to all these songs and have heard stories about how great he was. I just wish I could have had the pleasure of meeting and seeing him perform in person. However, he still will always have a major influence on my life just through his music. Please support his music. It is really great. I love him so much. As a Michael Jackson fan, I decided to learn something about artists that influenced him. Too bad there aren't many videos of Jackie Wilson performing because MJ's stage presence was greatly influenced by this man. If you enjoy soul, RB, or just a plain powerful, beautiful male voice with a an awesome range, this album is for you! I previewed both this album and the Ultimate Jackie Robinson album and decided this had more interesting and enjoyable songs to listen to. so I bought this one. I do remember Lonely Teardrops a little bit from when I was a kid. This album has many songs that as good as that one.

I was very fortunate to have seen jackie perform here in N.Y........it was about 1965.....Just before I went to Vietnam, well we were in the first row,Jackie came on and the place was electrafied.....he was wearing a tuxedo, as many performers back then did......well in about 2 min.the place was rockin.he opened his shirt , took off his jacket and I thought the girls were going to pass out........he performed has he always did ....!! What a talent!!!!.i can listen to these songs of his.and picture him all over again........this album is a wonderful tribute.to the talent of awonderful singer that left us much to young.........his vocal range in my opinion is Unserpased by anyone today.....purchase this album...in my opinion and you will enjoy a vocal talent that will never be equaled
